Delicious Japanese Eats Cookbook: Harumi’s Japanese Cooking
If you are looking for a great cookbook for Japanese eats, check out Harumi’s Japanese Cooking. The book contains over 75 recipes that range from easy to reasonably challenging. What makes Harumi’s Japanese Cooking so wonderful is that the dishes are the kind of dishes that many Japanese families would eat at home and not necessarily the stereotypical stuff you find at Japanease Restaurants. Yes, there are the sushi recipes, but there’s also recipes for standard Japanese meals like gyuudon (beef on rice) and okomiyaki (Japanese Savory pancakes).
The book is written by Harumi Kurihara, a popular personality in Japan and first published in English in 2004. My wife and many of her friends, who are all from Japan, are big fans of Harumi Kurihara and has made many of her recipes. What my wife loves so much about the recipes is that the recipes are generally easy to make but the food comes out looking great, and, of course, they are delicious.
We highly recommend this book.
