Steamed Pork and Bean Sprouts

Steamed Pork and Bean Sprouts is an easy recipe I found on Yahoo! Japan that you can do by using the microwave.

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces of Sliced Pork (bacon sliced thin or sukiyaki style)
  • 1 sack of bean sprouts
  • Ponzu Sauce (to taste) — or lemon and rice vinegar

Steps:

  1. Place four slices of pork on a microwavable plate
  2. Place the bean sprouts on top of the pork
  3. Place the remaining slices of pork on the bean sprouts
  4. Set the microwave to high for 5 minutes
  5. Monitor the progress of your pork, as soon as it starts to brown, stop
  6. Season with Ponzu sauce

That’s it. You could add other seasonings if you wish. It’s one of those dishes that you can experiment without the possibility of ruining it.
